KRUMPING! Today we had the Krump workshop! It was quite the experience. Krump is really just like any other form of dance. You express your feelings and emotions through sharp movements and facial expressions! Take a look!

This is the day we all got our mid-term marks. Everyone looks so worried and anxious. I wish we captured the after results with the smiles and some frowns!

Week Reflection : Nov 8 - Nov 12

This week was a hectic week. We did the vintage scenes , media presentations , head shots, and boardroom. There we're some ups and downs this week but I'm sure everyone plans to come back strong next week and get back on top of our game! Here are some pictures from this week in which you can reflect on !

Branding 2010

Earlier in the year, the acting academy took on the challenge of branding the class. The teams we're split up into Boys vs. Girls. Each team was told to come up with a name, slogan, colour scheme, mission and vision statement, logo, and all that it takes to brand a company. The battle was competitive. Both teams fought relentlessly and it made for great competition. The girls came out victorious. Here are some pictures from the amazing day!

The Musical 'Wicked'

On November 3, 2010, the students of Soul Visionary Productions went on a trip to Downtown, Toronto to see the musical Wicked! The musical Wicked is about the untold story of the Witches of Oz. Directed by Joe Mantello, Wicked is a play about two girls girls who meet. One was born with green skin, is smart, fiery but misunderstood. The other who is born popular, beautiful, and rich. The story is about how these two total opposites become friends to make one of the best musical in years! The students said the play was a blast! They spoke about the being totally sucked into the story of Wicked and we're entertained from start to finish. One student said 'Wicked was the best play I've seen in my life.'

Trip to Ossington & Queen !

On October 29, 2010, the class of Soul Visionary Production, took a trip to the wonderful city of Toronto! The reasoning for the trip was to experience the downtown life of vintage shopping, as well as to hone in on our journalistic abilities. Each group had to find and capture a story about Toronto through any form of media. For example, photography, poetry, song, film, etc. As you know, the class split up into three Quadrants. So each quadrant set out to find a story and do vintage shopping. It was a hell of an experience for every student! Not only did we have to vintage shop, but we had to find an article of clothing for no more than ten dollars! That's what made the experience even more challenging and rewarding! I took some photos to document the experience, here they are !
